Under 9

The first step up from Auskick is the under 9 team. Here boys and girls play under modified rules against similar aged competitors from other clubs.

At this level it’s all about fun and developing those skills. We don’t keep scores in these games and there’s no competition ladder.

Generally, boys and girls will need to be at least nine years of age to play but your coach will keep an eye on the Auskickers and anyone who would benefit from the experience could be invited to play ‘up.’

The under-nines train every Wednesday from 4.00pm at Roy Howard Oval.

Under 11

Real competition starts at the under11 level. This competition is open to boys and girls who have their tenth or eleventh birthday in the year of competition.

We’ve found from experience that girls are quite comfortable playing with boys at this level, but some girls may be comfortable playing in the youth girl’s team.

This is open to girls from the age of twelve years to fifteen years and, initially, will play under modified rules.

Under eleven training is held on Wednesday at Roy Howard Oval from 4.00pm.

Under 13

Mixed sex competition continues for boys and girls who have their twelfth or thirteenth birthday in the year of competition.

Boys and girls are permitted to play ‘up’ in this competition. That is, they may be   younger than thirteen, but boys and girls will only be able to play ‘down, that is in a younger age competition, in exceptional circumstances.’

The under thirteens train every Tuesday and Thursday at Roy Howard Oval  beginning promptly at 4.00pm.

Under 15 and 17

These competitions are open to young men aged fifteen to seventeen years of age.

Training is held every Tuesday and Thursday at Roy Howard Oval starting promptly at 4.00pm.

Youth Girls

This competition is available for girls from the age of twelve to fifteen years. Initially, it will be played under modified rules.

Womens

Senior Mens

We’re enormously proud of the Bomber’s senior women’s team.  It was formed initially of older women, many of them mothers of junior players, determined to see that their daughters would have the chance to play.

They’ve been rewarded, as every year more of our junior female players graduate to the women’s team.

This is a particularly welcoming group, with many of its members getting their first experience of AFL with the Bombers. They train each Tuesday and Thursday at Roy Howard Oval from 5.30 pm.

The coach for 2022 is James Dedman with Dave Britten acting as his assistant.

Registration and insurance fees for players over the age of 18 are $160 which includes the use of the club’s jumpers, shorts, and socks. School-age players can register using the NSW Government’s Active Kids Voucher.

New players, experienced or not, are particularly welcome. You can register by clicking the registration tab above.

In 2021, for the first time in five years, the Bombers entered a men’s senior side. It played in the second division, and in a season interrupted by Covid, was on track to play finals football. Our goal is to continue to provide a pathway for the young men coming up through the Bomber’s junior ranks, and our ambition is to play first division football as soon as possible.

The coach for season 2022 is Jacob Muthsam and training is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30 pm at Roy Howard Oval. Prospective players are warmly welcomed, and lack of experience is no barrier.
